In this piece I discovered art is love. This meaning came to me in my Art Therapy class I'm currently in at the Art Institute of Chicago when we were given the exercise to write an intention. All I could think about was what I read in the in our text book in class Introduction of Art Therapy author Bruce Moon, (2008) “Making art is act of love” Therefore it was my intention to treat the piece I created with love. When we went back to reflect on my art piece it felt like I had discovered myself. It was a break through for me to finally be looking at a art piece which spoke to only me.
